I just walked in on my BF in the kitchen. He hide a measuring cup as I walked in. There was a shallow bowl of water boiling on the stove. In the measuring cup was some tobacco looking substance with some butter. The bottom of the measuring cup was warm and the butter was slightly melted.
I asked him what it was and he told me an herb. When I told him that I didn’t believe him and thought it was drugs he put it down the garbage disposal. He later told me that is was damiana leaf.
Anyone have any idea what this might have been if it was not the damiana leaf as he claims?

ohhh waayyy to easy..your boyfrined was attempting to make weed butter.the water was going to be the bottom of a double boiler the top having weed and butter. you cook the weed/butter until the THC and other canibinoids go into the butter. then you strain out chuncks then you eat butter/ cook with it to get stoned
sounds like someone was planning on making pot/hash brownies to me. Ground damiana leaf looks like pot, but damn if that wasn’t a good cover story. No reason to put it down the garbage disposal though.
Aside from that damiana leaf as I understand is commonly used as a female aphrodesianc and an impotence aid.
Be wary either way.
