Guarana is a vine that hails from the Amazon basin in Brazil. Its properties are thought to be curative by many tribes in Brazil. They use Guarana for weight loss goals, increasing energy levels and removing the detrimental toxins from the body. Some stores, markets, and even householders use this plant as condiment, ingredients in dishes and in making beverages. Brazil is the worldâs third largest soft drink fanatics and some companies have incorporated the plantâs fruit extract into their products such as soft drinks, teas, and candies.
Lately, another product is made from this crawling plant. The manufacturers have named their product Guarana Blast. The weight loss supplement is derived from the fruit, and it provides impressive features such as:
1. To initiate weight loss
2. Accelerate metabolism
3. Expel body toxins
4. Render the body impervious to diseases
5. Prevent certain sickness
6. Increase energy value
The makers of the weight loss supplement promised the efficiency and safety of a Guarana Blast diet because each capsule contains sufficient amount of fruit extract to deliver its effects to the body. The fruit is famous for its three-times more caffeine content than coffee beans. Studies have shown that the fruit is effective in enhancing the memory, improving the mood and physical endurance. The leaves of the plants are large, and it has clusters of flowers. The first written record of guarana fruit dates back as early as 1669.
People who have tried the Blast diet attested to have shelled out 4-5 pounds in one week. In a study undertaken to test its effectiveness, 40 men and women who are overweight were divided randomly into two groups.
The first group supplemented on the Blast diet while the other group supplemented on Placebo. Both groups were also given exercise regimen for 45 days. After the period, the group that had Guarana Blast weight loss supplement shed off a total of 24 pounds compared to the group, which only shed off 10 pounds.
In another study of two groups of overweight men and women, the first group had placebo while the other was given a combination of guarana, yerba mate, and damiana. After 30 days of clinical trial, the second group that was given the mixture of three herbs lost 10 pounds while the group that had placebo lost 4 pounds.
The supplement contains properties for a positive impact on the health while losing extra pounds. It is already proven scientifically to suppress the appetite. It has tetra methylxanthine, a chemical compound that is similar to caffeine. However, the effect of caffeine to the body is not identical to coffee. In a Blast diet, the ingredients are freed slowly in 6 hours to make the energy level escalate over hours. In coffee, the caffeine effect is set with an abrupt rush and rapid drop-off.
The good thing about this Blast diet is that it has been supporting research studies to back the claim that indeed it enables weight reduction. However, few of its disadvantages are listed as:
1. The Food and Drug Administration has not yet verified the benefits of Guarana.
2. Sometimes, the herb is combined with other herbs or chemicals that can be dangerous to the health, especially to people who have cardiac issues.
3. Superbly high in caffeine quantity.
